The Service Operation Saapas

The service operation Saapas responds to the immediate social, psychological and physical needs of young people. The purpose of KatuSaapas in Lappeenranta is to meet and help young people where they spend their time. This means that KatuSaapas is a form of outreach youth work. The job of Saapas’ adult, trained volunteers and youth work professionals is to meet and help young people, especially during bigger events – otherwise when needed. Saapas training is provided in Finnish.
