Family counselling at Lappeenranta parish union

We offer professional counselling and assistance with questions related to romantic relationships, family and different life crisis. Our employees can also act as mediators in family matters (Marriage act 20-23 §) at the request of a client.  

Our services are meant for inhabitants in municipalities that are a part of the wellbeing services county of South Karelia. All consultations are confidential and free of charge. If necessary, we can use an interpreter. 

A romantic relationship is the most important attachment relation of adulthood. It allows you to share life’s joys and sorrows with someone for several decades. A relationship often also brings up difficulties that both parties have experienced in previous relationships. Childhood family interactions and attachment relations can be examined trough a family tree.  

Difficulties in relationships affect children in particular. Children are part of discussions even though they are not physically present. By helping adults to have healthier relationships, we can also help them to provide a safe home from their children.
